Fresh Pear and Raisin Crisp
Ingredients
Topping:
- ¾ cup uncooked oat bran cereal (or ¾ cup quick cook oats)
- 2 Tablespoons brown sugar
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon
- 3 Tablespoons Challenge Unsalted Butter, melted
Fruit Mixture:
- 6 cups pears (5-6), sliced thin
- ½ cup raisins
- ¼ cup water
- 1 Tablespoon lemon juice
- ¼ cup brown sugar (packed)
- 2 Tablespoons flour
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon
Directions
Preheat oven to 375° F. Combine oat bran cereal or quick-cook oats, brown sugar, cinnamon and melted butter; mix well and set aside. Combine pears, raisins, water and lemon juice in a large bowl. Combine and mix remaining ingredients (brown sugar, flour and cinnamon); then add to pears and stir gently until well coated. Place in an 8-inch square baking dish; sprinkle topping evenly over the pears. Bake 25-35 minutes or until pears are tender.
Yield: 8 servings.
