Sugared Pecans

Ingredients

  1. ½ cup (1 stick) Challenge Butter
  2. 2 egg whites
  3. 1 cup sugar
  4. 1 pound pecan halves

Directions

  1. Step 1

    Heat oven to 325°F.

  2. Step 2

    Place butter in a 9" x 13" baking pan. Melt butter in oven for 2-3 minutes.

  3. Step 3

    Meanwhile, in a medium bowl, beat egg whites until stiff. Add sugar, beat well. Stir in pecans until covered with the egg white mixture.

  4. Step 4

    Pour into baking pan and stir into melted butter.

  5. Step 5

    Bake for 30-35 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes.

  6. Step 6

    Spread on waxed paper. Cool.

  7. Step 7

    Store in airtight container.
